The journey to Aadi Kalish via this route begins at Gunji, and permits for this route are issued at Dharchula. Travelers can find homestay accommodations in the villages along the route, including Gunji, Napalachchu, Nabhi, Juli Kong, and Kuti.
Route 2 via Darma Valley: This route takes you through the Darma Valley, then across the Sin La pass, south of Brahma Parvat, to reach Kuthi Yankti Valley and Jolingkong Lake Base Camp. Many travelers who take Route 2 often choose to traverse Route 1 in reverse, allowing them to join the Om Parvat and Mount Kailash-Lake Manasarovar Tibetan pilgrimage route along the Sharda River.
